Product Design: Wooden Spray Cans by Thibaut Malet & Zics

I love it when designers let their imaginations loose and turn something very normal into a beautiful work of art.

This is certainly the case for this project, hand-made and laser-engraved wooden spray cans by designer Thibaut Malet and street artist Zics.

“Using locally sourced cherry wood the decorative spray cans are handmade by Malet in South France, then sent to London where Zics continues to honour street art culture, with laser engraved quotes “From the wall to Wall Street”, “Excuse my French” and “Some words deserve to be drawn”. The contrast between industrial paint aerosols and hand crafted creation pays homage to street art culture, as much as it does to design-led carpentry.”
