Packaging: Takeaway Sandwich Box

Check out this great idea for takeaway sandwich packaging by designer’s Alberto Carlo Cafaro and Giorgio Fanecco. It’s a great idea – reminiscent of the apple pie packaging a McD’s. But this packaging ain’t just pretty, it’s also pretty damn clever.

“One problem mentioned by many about is the long wait due to the high number of customers during the lunch hour. We created a cardboard support setting out the entire list of ingredients and where to write the name and delivery time of the sandwich; on an inner section it includes an illustrated chart showing the calorie content of the various ingredients, plus the top 10 sandwiches, the most widely sold ingredients, and the chef’s suggestions. With this system the waiting times for ordering and pickup should diminish, along with customer dissatisfaction, thus ensuring an increase in customers and greater profit.”
