Branding: A Tea Shop With a Twist…

Take a look at this branding/graphic design project by design students Caroline SolheimJoanna Hobbs and Tomoko Monno called “A Tea Shop With a Twist…”

The project, set by design agency FITCH, was to transform the face of the British high street, and what better way to do this than with tea.

“Tea has been adopted as a British tradition but tea shops just don’t have the same culture attached to them as coffee shops do. We wanted to transform this image of tea so we’ve created a tea shop with a difference – you can create a personalised blend of tea perfect for your mood. We captured the ‘Britishness’ through word play, nostalgia and a slight eccentricity.”

I think this idea is really smart, and I actually think it has a lot of potential. Any rich readers on the look out for an investment idea? Because this might just be it.
