As a general rule I don’t like caricatures, in fact… I can’t stand them. 90% of the time you can’t tell one from another and when you can it’s only because their name is written on the bottom.
I mean let’s face it, we all know that Angelina Jolie has big lips, that Hugh Laurie has a long face and Sylvester Stallone? Really? I mean, c’mon the man is practically a walking caricature as it is, we really could do without yet another drawing of him.
Having said that, sometimes you see a caricature and you can’t help but chuckle. This is when the artist captures something that you didn’t see at first glance, something that goes beyond the obvious and captures the subjects personality, and these are the ones I would like to share with you.
