I absolutely adore these cute little CGI character designs by Georgian 3D designer Irakli Gharibashvili.

The little purple one is my favourite, and I am amazed at the level of texture that he has put into it, just look at those little eyebrows!

Character Design: Sol og Måne by Cris Wiegandt and My Cool Twin

I love this stop motion animation video by Cris Wiegandt and My Cool Twin for Sol og Måne, a Danish nursery rhyme.

“The characters were made with foam paper and all animated in stop motion. Over it I have made digital eyes, mouths and lip-synced to the Danish lyrics.”

I love this set of Henna style mugs by London-based designer-maker Humna Mustafa.

The pop of colour compared to the earthy pared down colour of the outside is beautiful. My attempts at pottery certainly never looked anything like this.

Product Spotlight : Eco DIY Collection by Eduardo Alessi

I love these little cardboard animals by Eduardo Alessi. Much like flat-pack furniture, these are all assemble-at-home style creations and are made from single sheets of recycled cardboard.

“Once the products have been mounted they look like 5 different endangered species of animals. This raises the consumers’ awareness makes them remember that each product and how it’s produced is in strait connection with the environment where we all live in”

I love these digital portraits by Ukrainian artist Denis Gonchar. I especially love the way he has represented the hair, it almost looks like it’s made out of plasticine.

Product Spotlight : Toy Design by Chity Soy Yo

This week I have fallen head over heels for these super cute toys by Christian Sarragúa A.K.A Chity Soy Yo.

Despite the toys have a very heavy ‘Kawaii’, Japanese feel to them, Christian is actually originally from Uruguay and now based in Dublin.

Product Spotlight : Crepundia Felis Monogrammus by Brutherford

I absolutely love this sculpture by Ryan Rutherford (A.K.A. Bryan Brutherford. Brutherford Industries).

“This piece was created for the Jinxed Philadelphia Munnyworld show. The initial platform was a Kidrobot Trikky. Rather than add to or subtract from the platform the base piece was used as inspiration and defined the limiting parameters for the work. The skeletal construction was designed and built to fit within the given frame of the Trikky platform.”

The amount of work that has gone into this is amazing, including 3D printing, hand sculpting and some cool panting techniques. I really want one, I really, really want one.
